I for one was very sad to read the following:
http://news.scotsman.com/scotland/Cash- ... 5221138.jp
Given that its already been closed for 3 years , I am wondering if it will ever reopen ?

Hi Sally,
There have been more articles in the local newspapers recently about this museum. The Council are suggesting other premises may be sought, as Forth Ports (the building's owners) have other plans for the building. However, it remains to be seen how successful they will be in finding premises and money.
All the best,
AndrewP

Thanks Andrew,
I hope they do find something , however 60K doesn't buy you much near Edinburgh or indeed anywhere else I guess. I was lucky enough to visit once before it closed , but was severely disappointed when I took my father the second time to find it closed down. The ladies who worked there were so nice and several visitors had left copies of their family trees there. I hope the exhibits are being carefully stored somewhere.
Time to win Euromillions I think ...........
