Dear LesleyB,
Is that some sort of record - you replied to me seven minutes after I posted it!!
The lead you gave me is absolutely spot on - I am actually researching this name for someone else who started researching about a week ago!
Your connection opened up a database going back to the eighteenth century containing over 600 names?
Many many thanks for your note to me!
Best Regards from Western Australia,
philrob

Hi Philrob
Glad you found something that was useful there. It can certainly save a lot of time if someone else has already covered the same area of research, but do remember to remind the "someone else" that they should check all names, dates & etc. Even the most careful researchers take "wrong turns" sometimes, so it is better not to just assume that everything that has been written is correct.
Best wishes
Lesley
