TS Website logo

Post by daj » Thu Aug 06, 2009 4:34 pm

Andrew

Any chance of making the TS logo a little smaller, at least on the forum?

It's 220 pixels high, which is an awful lot of 'real estate' on the screen. It means you do a lot of scrolling to get to the good stuff! Especially if you are using a smaller screen -- I sometimes use my netbook to access the site which means 1/3 of the screen it taken by the logo. That aside, even on larger resolution it's still maybe a little too much I think.

Maybe make it transparent too?

Just some ideas

thanks

Hi David

I understand what you mean about scrolling on smaller screens - been there, done it!

...but if we make it transparent, unless things have changed drastically since I was involved in these kinda things, along with the rest of the white bits, the St Andrews cross will go a grey/blue colour!

Best wishes
Lesley

Hi Lesley,

It would indeed but I would also drop the 'magnolia' background and make it crisp and white. Alternatively if magnolia is the new white, then I would at least frame the logo. At the moment it's just kind of dropped on the page looking rather abandoned :(

It does however, look different if the other background options are used - though they seem to have vanished since the 'crash' this summer.

There was another Logo used originally, so the present one has had to fit into the space already there.

On a board with several Themes, you would normally adjust your logo to fit each.

The logo can be any size, and the board will adjust as you reduce/increase the logo as there is not a specific size it needs to fit.
