Although Alexander MacGregor had purchased a burial plot in the Glasgow Necropolis next to his brother-in-law, James Robert Dennistoun, he was laid to rest at Fernden Church Yard in Surrey. I do not know who is actually buried in the “MacGregor” Glasgow plot & would very much like to find out; perhaps you can help me?

Alexander MacGregor lived with his wife & family at Garscadden House during the 1830’s. Three of his children & his wife died during that time & again I do not know where they are buried. They were:
1. John Alexander McGregor died 1 Sep 1836 at Prestonfield House, Edinburgh.
2. Ann Penelope McGregor died 1836 at Garscadden, New Kilpatrick in Dunbartonshire.
3. Duncan McGregor died Aug 1839 at Prestonfield House, Edinburgh.
4. Mary Lyon McGregor died Aug 1839 at Prestonfield House, Edinburgh.
