Jarvie or Carrick?

Post by Ann In the UK » Sat May 08, 2010 8:23 am

Pah! Just when I want to look at something, my credits have expired! Would someone mind checking out this family for me? I know it sounds mad, but I've seen my Carrick's mistranscribed as all kinds - including Jarvic. This is the village where my brickwall, William Carrick, was born around the same time this guy was born - I'm wondering whether he's been mistranscribed too.

Name: John Jarvie
Age: 34
Estimated birth year: abt 1817
Relationship: Head
Spouse's name: Agness
Gender: Male
Where born: Cadder, Lanark
Parish Number: 626
Civil parish: Cadder
Town: Auchinloch
County: Lanarkshire
Address: Auchinloch
Occupation: Hand Loom Weaver
ED: 5
Page: 28
Household schedule number: 99
Line: 4
Roll: CSSCT1851_150
Household Members:
Name Age
John Jarvie 34
Agness Jarvie 34
Elisabeth Jarvie 9
Jean Jarvie 8
Agness Jarvie 3
David Reid 25

Thanks as ever,
Ann

Hi Ann,

Got no credits at the mo, but all you have to do to reactivate the expired ones is to buy more, then the expired ones become available again.

From a search it looks as though the family is indexed as Jarvie at SP although I haven't viewed the original record.

Annette
