Good morning All
I was at Park Circus yesterday trying to read a marriage certificate of one of my ancestors, but looking at her address and where she was married has confused me.
It states that she was married at and lived at Sysonby, Morris Street, Hamilton .Ive googled it to see what this Sysonby is and the only morris street in Hamilton I can find is new housing in s1homes.com.
Please is there anyone that knows the Hamilton Area well and recognises sysonby or Morris Street i don,t think ive read the certificate wrong.

Sounds like it's the name of a house. When was this?
If you look on Google Earth Street View, there is a row of 8 semi-detached houses (circa 1920?) which have unusual names (eg Miramap, Luanda).
The one at No 30? looks like it might be mistaken for Sysonby.

Thanks for the quick reply, the marriage certificate was for 1914. Do you think they may be the same houses?, ive not looked on google earth view yet but i will have a wee look later.
