Does anyone have a scotlandspeople library account? I have a spare voucher I mistakenly purchased at The Mitchell Library in Glasgow thinking I could use it from home.
I think they are available in libraries in Scotland. I'll PM the number to anyone who can use it!

You can use it at home you just have to open a new account with the USERNAME on the card. I take it is was a 60 credit voucher.

Maybe I should qualify - Don't log in with your usual details but click on the Register Now button and enter the details from the card.

Hi Annette
I didn't know that. Maybe not the same voucher . There isn't a user name on it.
I had an email exchange with SP or brightsolid and it seemed I would need to open a library account in a library. It was a top up voucher I bought so I would still need to buy a starter voucher for £6.
I don't think east ayrshire libraries participate in this scheme since they have the Burns FHC in Kilmarnock offering 100 credits for £10 though you are supposed to use them all in the centre and they won't even sell you them after about 2pm!
Nor do I really want a second account. So I am happy to donate my voucher to anyone who can use it!

I don't understand why you cannot top up with your voucher in your own account.

Re: Scotlandspeople library account
I think I know what the problem is.
You may only be able to use a top up library voucher with a library username. All library accounts start with a username of 'lib' and a username cannot be changed.
Seems unfair for those who didn't originally register with a starter account.
Regards,
Annette

Re: Scotlandspeople library account
Yes that's what the lady said, the account starts with lib. I should have checked at the library when I bought the voucher. There is a distinct lack of information regarding SP on their website. I am looking for ways of keeping the spending down.
If I say I have 20 pages of images you can get an idea of how much I have shelled out over the last 15 months or so.
I have recently discovered the exchange site sctbdm.com and am working my way through my purchases.
Any other tips welcome!
