Hi David

I just noticed that so far no-one has had a stab at locating your Laggerigh. Could you give us any other information for this entry. that might help in selecting which map to look at. Spelling and handwriting were very variable in the 1700's which makes it difficult for us two and a half centuries later. Mind you we should consider ourselves lucky that so many records have survived.

Roan/Rowan, Hastings, Sharp, Lapraik in Ayr & Kirkcudbrightshire.
Johnston, Reside, Lyle all over the place !
McGilvray(spelt 26 different ways)
Watson, Morton, Anderson, Tawse, in Kilrenny

Hi David

As Russell says, a bit more info to put the item in context would be helpful.
If you could give us the names of the couple being married, we coudl then look at the original record and make a start from there.

best wishes
Lesley
