The "Centre for Excellence" which is Plockton Music School is under threat of closure by Highland Regional Council as part of their "cuts" programme. This school has been a mainstay of the revival of traditional Scots music in the Highlands and turned out many of the talented young musicians seen at "Celtic Connections" for example. The band "Bodega" is an example of the school's tuition, see Google! Help save the school, please sign the online petition. Visit,

Re: Help Save Plockton Music School.
Have signed the petition - hope it helps.
I remember spending a holiday in Balmacara many years ago and visited Plockton. All roads seemed to lead there and we had trouble finding our way out!
