Hi all,
Hoping somebody can help with this one.
Thom Jonsen born about 1902 - parents Thom Jonsen (Doctor of Medicine) and Mary Carroll according to his marriage.
I couldn't find his birth or a marriage for the parents when I was at The Mitchell today.
I can see a Thom Jensen arriving at UK but can't get to the library just now to look at that one.
Any help much appreciated.
Regards,
Annette

Re: Thom Jonsen
Hi Annette,
Do you have him in 1911? Where does he say he was born?* I'm not finding anything very convincing in the incoming passenger lists-- what year was the one you are interested in? There is a Thom Jensen arriving in 1900 at Liverpool from New York on the Rhynland. That one is a Lab and age 35, so it would be quite a jump to become a Doctor of Medicine from there!
I'm probably just not seeing the right one... brain is fried from too much heavy equipment operation
Cheers,
Sarah
*Just occurred to me that he was probably not yet in the UK by 1911-- right?

Re: Thom Jonsen
Thanks for looking Sarah - that was probably the one I could see on Ancestry but couldn't access. No definitely not him then.
My source is too modern to post but I'll pm you tomorrow - really must go to bed now.
Don't work too hard.
Best wishes,
Annette
