john ? jack marshall springhill crossgates fife

Iam looking for relatives of john marshall but called himself jack in 1935 now deceased my grandfather. He lived in springhill crossgates, his father i think was joseph. I have checked the register office in scotland and scotland libary and can only find a joseph marshall springhill crossgates in the electrial role and valuation book for 1935 and 1947 know mention of a john ? jack marshall. joesph died in 1951. My problem is I live in linconshire now due to being an ex service women. I still have family in kirkcaldy. Any help would be appreciated.
