Falkirk Architecture Plans - Exhibition

Post by WilmaM » Mon Feb 13, 2012 6:19 pm

My daughter & I visited this exhibition this morning and were rather impressed.

Plans for Living - 20th century architectural plans from Falkirk Archive

21 January – 29 April 2012 Callendar House, Falkirk

They have plans of housing, schools etc from the Falkirk Archive on display, with some interesting snippets on
life in the past.

The plans are works of art really - all hand drawn and painted.
My Daughter is studying Architectural Technology and emerged feeling a novice with her computer drawing skills!

The rest of the House are worth visiting too, some super models of the area in the past.

and what's more - it's FREE!

Thanks for posting that Wilma.

If I wasn’t so far away I’d be in there like a shot.

All the best,
Alan
