Do you have her Death certificate?

There is one on Scotlands People that could match your lady:
Ann Gilmour other surname Stewart born 1900 + 5 years
sometime after 1922.
That may help confirm her mother's name [ if the death informant knew the correct details]

Sometimes people 'tweaked' thier actual age on mariage certificates depending on who they were marrying [ or simply didn't know exactly what age they were]
so always add/subtract a few years when searching.

If she was born in 1903/4 sh should appear on the 1911 census or on the 1901 if she was born before that.

Bearing in mind too that she may not have been born or raised in Scotland.

Hi Gwen,

I have taken a look at the 1922 certificate for the marriage of William Smith Gilmour and Annie Stewart. I read the parents to be: Thomas Gilmour, coal miner; Elizabeth Gilmour, ms. Burns; William Stewart, coal miner; and Mary Stewart, ms. McGuiness.

All the best,

William Stewart, coal miner; and Mary Stewart, ms. McGuiness.
dont seem to exist and then i found a marriage of these two names but it seems the marriage is too early or they had their daughter quite late

Hi Gwen,

I am in the SP Centre in Edinburgh and have taken a look at the death certificates for Ann* Gilmour other surname Stewart from 1922 to 2012, born 1900 ± 10 years. There are only two results, one in 1972 in Ayrshire and one in 1981 in Glasgow. Neither one is the one that you are seeking. So she is either still living, died outside of Scotland, or is badly mis-indexed in the system.

I tried again with no birth year criteria (to take in all ages), and this gave a few more results, but none of them right for the lady you are seeking.

All the best,

AndrewP
