Making a local history film

Post by kennethm » Thu Aug 01, 2013 11:45 am

Eaglesham History Society has decided to make a heritage/history film about Eaglesham. We've heard from Heritage Lottery Funding (HLF) that it's just the kind of thing that they'd support.

We thought the film could include the history of the village and parish, the establishment of the planned village, the people, what they did for a living, religious life, education, leisure etc. Could include interviews as well as film and photographs from the past and present.

It'll be a big project and could ultimately produce a DVD and maybe arrange talks too.

Wondered if anyone has tips for a producing a local history film?

Many thanks.

Kind regards,

Kenneth
