That's better, second time lucky. Read the article. Typical intitt! They ask a guy fae CRANHILL ie Billy Boyd, jist because eez famous, an never think tae approach me who lactually lived in Easterhouse furr 20 years! Still widnae mind readin the book though.

Catriona,
Billy Boyd is the actor who played the character 'Pippin' in the Lord of the Rings. I believe he was brought up in the housing estate of Cranhill which lies to the west of Easterhouse, separated by the Queenslie Industrial Estate (where the Olivettie typewriter works used to be) and the Garthamlock housing estate. Not that I know the area very well you understand :)

Years later fun meh in Condorrat (Maree Dr) an Cumbernauald (Ainslie Rd)

Hi Bob
I grew up in Dalilea drive (doon near the bus terminus) and went to Bishoploch primary and Lochend secondary schools.. Easterhouse was quite territorial in them days so I never wandered up Duntarvie way very often 8-[

I've been in Seafar Cumbernauld for a few years now but I still go through to visit family.

My mate moved to Maree drive ... they came from Glenelg quadrant (didn't they have some fancy street names in Easterhoose?)
