cemetary help.....

My great grandparents are buried in Dumbarton. I am planning a trip there next year. I have a picture of their headstone. I would like to visit the gravesite. Does anyone know how I could find out what cemetary they are burried in? My great grandfather died in 1941 and my great grandmother died in 1965. Thanks, Angela

My best advice is to contact West Dumbartonshire Council.They will have
Records for most of Dumbartonshire.Can you give us any clues re the Cemetery? Do you have their Death Certificates? Most people are buried near to where they were either born/died.What religion were they? Some Roman Catholics were not comfortable/allowed to be buried in a Churchyard i.e.Church of Scotland graveyard.
I myself have a nice little plot adjacent to my Dad & Granny & opposite some of my other relies with a lovely view of the Old Kilpatrick hills-the only Real Estate I own!!!
