....and Loudon :(
But it does say "Ayrshire Burials Index Part 1", so there is some hope there!!

I'll eat my words! They do have "OPR Burial Records 1811-1857" for Loudon on a separate CD...but not Sorn, folks.

Would there be anything for Ardrossan/Saltcoats or Stevenston?

Hi all,
I note that Ayrshire Burials Index Part 2 has now been published, and that the project is now complete.

http://www.troonayrshirefhs.org.uk/publications.html#

Under Projects, it is noted:

"Following the completion of the Ayrshire Burials, we have started on the Monumental Inscriptions for Prestwick Shaw Farm Road Cemetery and this is going well with publication expected later this year."

All the best,
Sarah

I'm a bit puzzled by this.

In April I went to a kind of family tree roadshow/whatever, in Motherwell and bought a CD (have it here in front of me) from Troon and Ayrshire FHS. It's marked 'Ayrshire Burials Index Part 2' and deals with: Ardrossan, Beith, Dreghorn, Dundonald, Dunlop, Fenwick, Galston, Irvine, Kilbirnie, Kilmarnock, Kilmaurs, Largs, Loudon, Monkton, Stevenson, Stewarton, Symington and West Kilbride.

I'd love to lay my hands on the Girvan one but don't want to run the risk of buying the one I already have. Can anybody throw some light on the fact it looks like there are two Part 2's?

By the way,Waverley, if any of the above areas apply to your folk, let me know and I'll have a look through the disk.
