Administrator Resignation
Ina has submitted her resignation from the Admin Group of TalkingScot. Her hectic schedule of activities meant something had to go. As one of the founder members, Ina has done a lot of work in the backshop of TalkingScot for which she is warmly thanked. We wish her well with her vacation and with her many other activities.

Just wanted to add my thanks for your hard work as well, Ina. I hope we will still be seeing your posts on TS though.
Best regards

As one of the two original founder members of TalkingScot, one of my many tasks was to recruit folk who were prepared to be members of the Admin[istration]Group of TalkingScot, all this in the context of the intention that TalkingScot would be a follow-on discussion group to the previously highly successful DG directly linked to ScotlandsPeople, but properly and fully moderated in a manner not possible for GROS or their ScotlandsPeople contractor, ScotlandonLine.
Given the [unmoderated] flaming etc. problems on the SP DG, such an ambition was recognized by all concerned as no small task!!
Ina was one of the original 4 folk who accepted the invitation to join the two founders in the AdminGroup of TS who realised this, but were fully prepared to take on the considerable challenge involved.
Ina is due the full credit for her fundamental role in the subsequent great success of TalkingScot over the period of the last two years and more.
There's always been an awful lot going on in the background on TS that is only later, maybe never, obvious at the fully public level, - think of the picture of the swan serenely moving across the surface, but the reality is that there's an awfy lot of frantic paddling going on underneath the surface
, to which activities Ina contributed greatly.
Such is so often the case in life, and Ina deserves full recognition and tremendous thanks for her fundamental role in the present, and, I'm sure, continuing success of TalkingScot.
As we all experience in our lives, activities and priorities change over the years, and Ina has decided that her other activities need some more attention than they have received recently, so, perfectly understandably, wants to reduce her input to TS.
I can only comment on a personal basis that I've felt the same for 6 months or more, but, for the moment at least, I'm "hanging in there"
I'm sure that there's more than a good chance that Ina may rejoin the organisational activities at some point in the future.
In the meantime, may I ask you all to join me in a massive vote of thanks to Ina.

Ina
Thank you for being a big part of making this such a lovely group. I'm sure it has indeed been very demanding, but I briefly experienced an entirely immoderate, privately "owned" one last year and realise how very, very fortunate we are to have TS and all its hard working organisers.
Have a lovely rest.
