Quarriers history

Post by Russell » Wed Jun 20, 2007 2:29 pm

Folks with an interest in Quarriers might like to know that Anna Magnusson has updated her book 'The Village' to bring the story of Quarriers right up to date.

To reflect the changes of the last 20 years she has called this one 'The Quarriers Story' and it is a 'warts and all' account.
This completely revised edition is published by Birlinn Ltd
ISBN 10:1 84158 494 0
ISBN13: 978 1 84158 494 2

Although specifically about William Quarrier and his legacy there are insights into the wider social history and circumstances prevailing in the Victorian era into the present day.

Hi Russell
I've seen the book on the shelves in local bookshops - looks like an interesting read.

Best wishes
