I am just about to part with £25 to purchase the above records on disc, can anyone tell me if they are worth buying and what do they hold. :?:

Looking for McGowan Anderson Fleming Sommerville Waddell in Lanarkshire. Semple Murray Baird Thompson Hutchinson in Annan Dumfriesshire Baird and Hutchinson also in Kirkinner Wigtonshire and Semple family of Annan Glasgow and Edinburgh

If by Vital Records you are referring to the British Isles Vital Records Index on CD then there was a post and thread a while back on this.....I think you can find it here..

if that link doesn't work then just run a search on BIVRI and you'll find it....

and if that doesn't answer your question then please come back and yell at me :D !

Hi Audrey, I bought the set some years ago, I really didn't find too much, although I did get the christening info on my ggg grandparents children in Inch, Wigtown, I see you are searching in that area, the set has at total of 58,190 records in Wigtownshire and 38 marriages. I was hoping to find some records in Ireland, but no such luck, but something could pop up later, I think it is a good investment, I have never regretted buying it.
